Up the Spout.
1 of 1 found this helpful The only drawback with this kettle is the fact that the spout does not protrude enough. It is difficult to see the spout when you start to pour making the chances of missing something small you are poring into. Superb idea spoilt by poor spout design.

You couldn't make a better investment.
1 of 1 found this helpful I tried a variety of cheap chippers and all were lacking, very limited potato size and needing hard pressure to operate. Some reasonable sized potatoes you had to trim to even get in the cutter. As due to my age and getting on a bit everything I purchase for my kitchen where possible has to be as easy to use with little effort. Although this chipper looks expensive, it is excellent value for money. It will take large potatoes and the effort to cut them is minimal. It becomes one of those items that you just naturally use without a second thought. I mounted mine on the wall with a small shelf underneath with a stainless steel bowl on the shelf. Just put a potato in pull the handle and the chips fall into the bowl. No messing about having to wash the starch off of the worktop.
I couldn't recommend this chipper higher more highly, you may think it might never pay for itself but for time saving, sheer ease and speed of use it is worth every penny.

Size.
8 of 8 found this helpful The unit is very well made and easy to use. The only problem being although great in most respects it is too small. The chances are that many of the potatoes (Maris Piper and King Edwards) bought will be too big to fit without having to cut them down. Many of us like the long chips that we get from the larger spuds. If it was twice the size it would be excellent.
