The 1973 version!
0 of 1 found this helpful The 1973 version starring Richard Crenna is the one I was most interested in, and I think it's excellent (it's on the second disc). More up to date, more timely, taking place in the modern world. I also get a kick out of seeing the decade I grew up in, the style and culture of the time. How things have changed since the '70s, but also how similar so many things are... Everyone is supposed to say that the remake of an old classic doesn't measure up, but I am not part of that herd. Isn't the 1976 remake of King Kong a great movie, of course it is, as are many other remakes. You should enjoy BOTH versions of this movie.

OFF THE CHAIN, INSANE IN THE BRAIN!
WARNING! WATCHING THIS MOVIE WILL F YOU UP FOR LIFE! Dolls were abused during the making of this production. Viewer discretion is strongly advised. For adolescent boys ONLY! Or, if you are a case of arrested development. Or, if you dig Jaime Pressly! Or, if you really like extremely politically incorrect movie parodies. DVD also includes feature length audio commentary by cast and crew.

GREAT MOVIE, DAMAGED DVD
1 of 1 found this helpful Great movie, very dark politically incorrect humor, which I desire. Movie has lots of edge and bite to it start to finish. R-rating helped enormously to avoid lame writing and acting... It's the best National Lampoon Vacation movie since the first 2... DVD was damaged, scuffed or bent mark that I couldn't just wipe away, causing a noticeable skip at end of the infamous Chris Hemsworth bedroom scene... Be careful not to buy any used/abused dvd's... I bought this used because the new dvd prices for this high demand new movie were too high, and you get what you pay for... Sometimes used dvd's work fine, sometimes they don't. I rolled the dice and got a little cheated... DVD also doesn't have audio commentary on the part of cast and crew, maybe it will on blu-ray.
