Problem solver
We use PTAC heat pump units in our addition, those are a lot of HVAC for the money, but lack sophisticated controls. With this and a TH8000 series thermostat, you can make them function as well as possible. The main concern is; automatic fall-over to auxiliary heat. Outside temp is essential to accomplish this, and this is the proper factory part.

Works fine, a little flimsy
While inserting it into the tank, it fell apart. The plastic pins just don't get a good grip on the metal bracket. Knowing this, it isn't hard to reinforce with an electrical tie or two, just make sure the knot is inboard, or it will interfere with sliding it through the hole into the tank

OK for high numbers as well
The ones listed at this time for the high serial #s are roughly twice the price. I guess if you are building a show tractor, then I guess must use the proper ones. If like me, just keeping things presentable, then these are a good looking, durable choice. My new upper hood looks great with these installed.
