This is a great collection. You would do very nicely to have both this and beyond and back. That would carry you far in the X world for sure.
This is a really nice collection. If this is your first foray into X then you will not be disappointed, come to think of it if you check out the Slash label, you will not be disappointed.
X are absolutely masterful musicians, a shining example that there is some serious musical talent in punk. Billy Zoom is a rare treat to here on guitar. When they replaced Billy Zoom they did it with really awesome guitarists also. Dave Alvin from the Blasters being one of I believe the two that they had after Billy zoom. There is no weak piece in the band.
Check it out, you will love it.

CAN'T CANN THE HEAT
This is a great collection from the oft overlooked blues group. This is a great early collection. Once thet lose Alan Wilson they lose the multi instrumental soul of the group but this has some great moments on it from him. Those would include; human condition, an owl song, and the mind blowing poor moon. Bob Hite is well represented also in Rollin and Tumblin, The Hunter and Amphetamine Annie. There are some other great contributions like Hill's Stomp and Harley Davidson Blues. KILLER COLLECTION- CHECK IT OUT
