Excellent Product
The Yakima is a very well built and designed roof rack system. The rack has many adjustments that can be made. They are all made on the towers. You can adjust the rails to ensure they are parallel to your roof. There are adjustments to ensure the towers lay flat on the roof and are also pointed exactly from the front to the rear. Everything tightens up nicely and the rack and its cargo end up very secure. I have 2 complaints. First the rack is noisy. It whistles when your driving. Not very loud but noticeable. The instructions or the fit guide on the Yakima web site are not very well written. They give you enough information to get started but you won't get it right until you try mounting the rack on the car. Make sure the towers lay flat on the roof (adjustable) and that they are aligned properly going from the front to the rear (also adjustable). Last bit of advice is to tighten everything down slowly going from one side to the other multiple times. Its a great rack. Very secure and well built. I'm happy with mine.
