an interest in alternative medicines
i bought this book a few weeks ago, but am yet to try any of the natural remedies in it. not for lack of interest, but for lack of anything wrong with me that needs any medicinal treatment. the book is in great ( almost new ) condition. it has a wide range of herbal medicines for most ailments i have heard of, and many i haven't. i just wanted to get away from the chemicals and big pharmacies for any treatments i may need. i don't trust them at all, and there are far to many medicines placed on the market and then a few years later recalled or removed because of lack of results, or for side effects which are worse than the ailment they are prescribed for. not to mention the astronomical cost( the big drug companies have such a huge profit margin in the united states compared to other countries for the same drugs. ) also, we have been creating a lot of strains of drug resistant viruses and diseases for the past 60 years or so, just by the over use of antibiotics and other medicines. we need to stop putting these substances in our water tables and soil, because they create a much greater problem with the passage of time.
