1 of 1 found this helpful One of the best Scorpions albums ever. I have always been into the Scorpions in the 1980's when they were really big but I had no clue that these guys were around in the 1970's as well. Since I bought Lovedrive in 2004 I have been into the 1970's Scorpions more now than ever and I personally like their stuff from the 1970's more than I like their 1980's stuff. Uli Jon Roth is a totally underrated guitarist who is up there with the likes of Page, Blackmore, Hendrix(Roth is actually Hendrix influenced by the way), Iommi and many other guitar players. I highly recommend this album or any other of their 1970's albums like In Trance and the one that came after this one Taken By Force which was the last one Roth on lead guitar. Lovedrive is another one but that features Rudolf's brother Michael on lead guitar and is kinda more poppy oriented leaning towards the direction they would take in the 1980's.
