A complex and deep JRPG
0 of 1 found this helpful Many of the classic elements of JRPGs are apparent in Suikoden V but there are so many characters with actual motivations beyond just being good and bad guys. I'm only a few hours in to the game and I've really enjoyed the story, the voice acting is also pretty good which can really make or break some games for me. The combat is varied and engaging. The graphics are colorful and well done.

Almost useful
There's no on board sampling or sequencing just a box with pads that you put an SD card into. That SD card needs to have the samples named correctly and in the right format. I had to batch convert a bunch of samples in order to use them. I was excited to use samples with my other grooveboxes but sadly this didn't work all that well. sometimes the samples would trigger but mostly they didn't. Perhaps it could have been the hardware I was using? Anyway, if you want to trigger samples that you prepared on your computer on a box that is not your computer with some nice drum pads... this will do that. Just don't expect too much more than that.
