Hercules Bass Clarinet Stand
As a tripod, it is quite sturdy. But, from a practical playing perspective, one must rest the peg in the cradle on on one of the legs and rest the upper end of the instrument in the yoke on the vertical. Per se, the stand does not grip the clarinet. Years ago, Hercules made a bass clarinet stand which sandwiched the instrument between parts of the stand; this old stand indeed "held" the instrument.

In addition, the top collar cannot be tightened enough to stay in place. The vertical slides down eventually!
