Lightweight, easy to use
16 of 16 found this helpful I wanted something for my daughter that my granddaughters would also be able to use. My daughter does only occasional sewing, and was easily frustrated with her old machine. I ordered this one because it was very similar to my own Brother quilting model, which I love. It is simple to thread. The drop in bobbin is easy to use, and doesn't jam up. The best feature for a beginner or occasional sewer is that it also has a variable speed control that you can set, as well as an option to disconnect the foot pedal and use the start/stop button. This is great for children especially, who may have trouble reaching the foot pedal and keeping it going at an even speed. My 8 and 13 year old granddaughters are able to use it independently, which was my goal. All in all this was a perfect purchase for my needs.
