Not very impressed
I really like the construction and look of this cooler. I had a Pelican of the same capacity first and returned it because it was just too heavy and big. I'm not super impressed with the ice retention for the price you pay. In the back of my work van, filled completely with ice, opening the cooler maybe 4-5 times a day, I get no more than 2 days of actual ice. Just cold water after that I've precooled, and don't see much of a difference. It's a really good cooler and I love it, just expected to be closer to the "keeps ice for 8 days" performance.

Not impressed
I was pretty unimpressed with ice holding capabilities considering the price tag. I use this for my lunch at work. Got the 24 pk because I work in the heat and drink about 12 bottles of water a day. First day, filled it with water bottles, sandwich in tupperware and ice. Was filled about 85% with ice. Could've fit another scoop but didn't think it was necessary with the claims (guarantees) of the cooler to hold ice 24hrs in 100° heat. Buckled sides down to reduce airspace in cooler. Never got above 80° that day and when I got off work, about 10hrs, I dumped the cooler with nothing but cold water. No ice. Everything in the cooler stayed pretty cold but was definitely disappointed with ice retention. Maybe if you filled cooler full of ice and didn't open much throughout the day, you would have a little ice after 24hrs.
