Valken Tactical THUNDER V Pineapple Sound Grenade Distraction 12 Shells & CO2
    Feb 23, 2016
    haven't set one off yet
I bought these to use with my grandsons when I visit them this summer. I want to test one before hand, but have not done it yet. This review will, therefore, cover only the set-up of the individual item. There are pluses and minuses depending on how you look at things. 1. Unlike a real grenade core, this one is only partially metal, but seems to be very sturdy. 2. The provided pins fit tight, and will not fall out, but are somewhat difficult to insert/pull. I chose to get smaller diameter (skinnier) replacement pins (9 cents each at the parts store) that are much easier to insert/pull. The spring tension on the striker is sufficient to hold the smaller pin in place, but I chose to bend the long leg out for added safety (keeps the pin from falling out if the spoon is compressed against the body), but it is still easily pulled. And, even with the bent "leg" can be reinserted. 3. As mentioned, the striker spring is a strong one. This makes pulling the striker back to the armed position a bit of a chore. I watched several videos before buying these, and some showed a hole in the end of the striker where the pin could be inserted, and used as a lever to aid in moving the striker. I do not know if the is an older version that was deleted due to breakage, or a newer version than the ones listed here. I considered modifying mine with the hole to make arming easier, but with the price of cores, decided not to risk breakage. 4. From the unsponsored (not by Valken) videos, these seem like very cool items. The only real drawback that I have noticed is the turnaround time to reset the core. So, if you are looking to rely on these for quick use and reuse in airsoft battles or whatever, you may wish to purchase some additional cores, or have good cover fire while you reset the one that comes with the set.

    Mother, Jugs & Speed
This was an OK movie. It had it's funny parts, and it's serious parts, but it was no Star Wars or Gone With the Wind. It was a movie I remembered seeing when it first came out, and again on TV, and for the price was a nice addition to my movie collection. The actual reason I bought the DVD was to be able to see Bill Cosby's (Mother) ambulance in "pause" and "zoom". I build plastic models, and have for 40 years. WHen the movie was new, I made a model painted up to match the one in the movie. That model was lost or broken some time ago, and I decided to do a replacement one time when I saw the movie on TV. This is not a movie I'd pay full price to see in a theater these days, but with "discount" DVDs, it was worth the price, even if you don't build models. Seeing it again as an adult 30some years older is kind of like watching the old Star Trek TV series with all the special effects that now seem so hokey. Since it is not a "dated" subject, like M*A*S*H in the Korean War, Star Wars a long time ago, or Platoon in Viet Nam, it seems outdated in it's presentation. There are now TV shows that show more realistic and graphic scenes than could have been created or would have been allowed back in 1976.

Archery Red Laser Sighting Tool,Crossbow/bow,Arrow Sight Bore Sighter Boresight

    Nice item
This laser sighing tool worked great for helping me to sight in my crossbow without having to fire and tweak the scope. It easily attached to the crossbow bolt, and projected a good strong beam that was visible even in bright sunlight. There are only 2 drawbacks to this laser sighting tool... First is the lack of a switch, considering the advertised limited use time. Unlike firearm laser sighting tools that have to be chambered, this one is out in the open and a switch would have been handy to save battery life. A switch would also be useful for safety reasons, as once the batteries are in the laser is activated, and running while you attach the sighting tool to your bolt/arrow, and load it onto your bow/crossbow, increasing the chance of eye injury. The switch would let you to cock and load your crossbow/nock your arrow, then turn on the beam, allowing you to keep the beam pointed downrange. Secondly is the provided battery storage. The pack that the batteries come in is hard to be reusable for battery storage once it has been opened. With the small size of the batteries, it is difficult to find an adequate way to store them that guarantees no contact to preserve battery life. All in all, the two drawbacks are minor things when you consider the obvious advantage of being able to sight in your bow/crossbow without having to fire and tweak, fire and tweak, and so on. I would definitely recommend this item, especially for the novice archer's initial set-up or any time you change your sights / scope.
