Win 7 Pro continues to power old systems well
Still the best for general purpose computing for many users, at lowest $ and learning curve.

Good 2013 tech
0 of 1 found this helpful Limitations I knew about - single HDMI the only choice for output. No LED or other sign that the player is ON when the TV is OFF.
Limitation I couldn't fully discover beforehand was all of the current digital video formats this machine won't play via flashdrive in the USB port. HEVC and h265 for the most part.
Blu-Ray discs play beautifully. Excellent picture quality on my 2012 Samsung TV. Excellent sound via the HDMI cable. Plays old h262 and some h264 format videos via front USB.
Fast and easy to setup wi-fi connection. Only good for streaming, not browsing. Most of the BigPlayer web offerings are pre-installed for setting up. Along with some free web TV stuff riddled with uncontrollable advertising.
A very good Blu-Ray choice for the price. Even with old tech limitations.

Working great - Fast enough
Updated an older PC with AM2+ motherboard by adding this CPU, another 2 GB memory stick and a Gigabit Ethernet card purchased on eBay. A capable home server.
