excellent replacement flapper
1 of 1 found this helpful one note of caution when replacing a worn out original flapper -- some toilet manufacturers use a very stiff and sticky rubber flapper that completely covers and firmly grips the hinge post; that is, the flapper does not easily snap on and off. one could suspect this is intentional to cause harm to a perfectly good toilet when the flapper wears out. my old flapper was on there like one of those rubber exhaust hangers, practically had to use a crow bar to unhinge it. as a result, i broke off one hinge post in the process. so be very careful. now i have one heck of an excellent flapper on a fully manual toilet that i have to reach in and close after every flush. working on a fix for that. still, this replacement flapper is a gem. it uses a separate rubber washer under the top, just visible in the picture, that could possibly be replaceable itself if sold somewhere, greatly reducing the maintenance cost of this flapper over the coming years.

adequate thickness with flexibility
PVC solvent welds nicely for water-tight seams.
