4 of 4 found this helpful I've always been a fan of the Surface line from the first gen to the Surface book. These devices are worth the money spent on them. They are very versatile, intuitive, and they help you stay productive or entertained. As with any battery powered device you'll need to tweak power consumption to maximize battery life and be sure to calibrate the battery at least once a month by draining it below 10% as Microsoft recommends or you can go as little as 2%. Microsoft also doesn't recommend leaving the device on the battery for extended periods of time.
These devices are great. Since I started with my RT, the use of my laptop declined and stopped with the Surface Pro 2. I don't think I'll need another laptop or computing device aside from this one.
I have managed to make it to 48% battery life after 9hrs. This managed power settings and light use taking notes at times w/o Bluetooth for the pen, toggling the Wi-Fi, 45% brightness. During the web use I downloaded a few small apps from store, streamed Xbox games from my console.
