Great Kit Lens
Picked up a used one just to have a light short zoom lens to carry around. Really impressed by the picture quality.

Ghosting
It's okay as protection for the lens but ghosting is awful. If there is any light in front of the lens when shooting indoors or outside a night the filter needs to come off, way too much refection. Also shooting indoors with available light makes my lens hunt for focus. Take it off and focuses fine. Not a cheap lens either, it's a Nikon 16-80. Seems to work fine outside in good light so I'll use it for daytime protection and remove it for challenging light situations. Always used Hoyas in the past, tried to save a few bucks. Will probably order a Hoya and keep it for situation that may be detrimental to the coatings on the Hoya. It's a $7 filter, you get what you pay for.

Good option
This is a good option to the Nikon HB-77. Not quite as rigid, but good snug fit.
