Simple but capable and robust
I bought this for my wife as a replacement for a more technical, higher-end camera I bought her for Christmas. She is a prolific photographer, and pretty good, but does not care to delve into the technical aspects of photography. The T76i is perfect for her. It combines the high image quality and flexibility of a DSLR with many of the user-friendly features common on point-and-shoot models. She loves the preset modes and the articulating viewing screen. It is light enough to hold to take selfies, yet is hefty enough to provide a sense of confidence that your photos will turn out spectacularly. The image quality is more than sufficient for the types of photos that she takes and the features are probably more than she will ever find a use for, but it is nice knowing that this camera will likely never be a limitation for my wife's photography aspirations.
