One of the Best Denon Receivers To Date
Upgraded from an X4000 series to get the new features, including Dolby Atmos for my Theater Room. This is all around a feature rich unit. The only complaint I have is there are no RCA Audio outputs. On the 4000 unit I used my vinyl player (phono in) and used the media RCA audio outputs to a CD recorder so I could burn old vinyl records which you cannot get through Apple or other media outlets. I'm hoping I can find a work around so for that I give this unit an overall grade of A-

Worth the Upgrade
I had the RF-62 series but had upgraded my center speaker which is in the family of the new reference series. i could tell a major different in the tweeter redesign so I decide to upgrade my fronts with the RP-280F series. It was well worth the upgrade and my system is matched perfectly. I love the redesign as the highs do not sound as harsh as they did on the older reference series. Plus moving up to the 8" versus 6" made a dramatic impact to overall sound quality of my system. I actually reduced my cutoff on my SVS subs to 60Hz rather than 120Hz and my system sounds like a Cineplex! Great upgrade and worth the money!!

Good 3D Glasses
I recently upgraded from a Samsung 3D TV to a Sony 3D Projector which came with 2 pairs of glasses and I needed 2 more of this type. They are not as comfortable as the Samsung RF glasses I am used too but they work well (these are IR). They are a bit heavy on the bridge of my nose but not too much of an issue as I'm only watching a 2 hour movie. I also think they are a bit pricey. RF glasses are the better choice and much less money. Still these function as described.
