Dodge Charger 1971 - 1974 Airplane 2pt Red Lap Bucket Seat Belt Kit - 2 Belts

Nice seatbelts, I decided that I have tempted faith long enough in my fun little vintage cruiser and I noticed that there was seat belt mounting holes for the front seat so the front were an easy installation. Now the back belts were a bit harder I actually had to locate where to drill the holes in the floor pan to mount them and then I figured I should weld a reinforced plate to keep them from pulling through the floor. After a trip to a hardware store for some grade 8 hardware and a bit of work the seatbelts are installed and look like the factory put them there. There is little no no instructions on how to mount the belts so a lot of internet research was required. The next thing I should mention are the seat belts are made in China although they claim to have passed a certification test meeting USA laws. They look to be nice quality and the Chrome buckle has a nice luster, very similar to a belt you would find on a commercial jet airplane. Hopefully they will never get tested by myself or future occupts but it is like insurance and I feel much better having them.

Like a new seat
Restored the collapsed seat foam. Slightly stiffer then the original but not uncomfortable. The seat in my truck was completely wasted but the upholstery was good this restored the seat. You do not have remove the seat, the fabric just clips on from the underside and the foam just fits in. A extra set of hands is recommended to collapse the foam to help fit the seat cover back down. It is made in China but the cut surprisingly seems to be a perfect fit. Well worth the 40ish bucks

I paid an extra few dollars for this blade because I assumed I was buying a made in the USA blade from an American company but that is what I get for assuming. It is made in China it is stamped right into the steel itself. I know it is just basically a piece of steel and it is probably fine but I don't like supporting a communist country that dislikes America nor do I trust the quality on anything made in this slave labor nation. If all is known the steel is probably a softer grade but I am making assumptions again. Live American Buy American support your American neighbors.
