The Chromolithographs of Louis Prang

Very good book - for the year it was published.
I recently found an album with over 100 early Louis Prang prints. I bought this book in order to learn more about Prang, but because of the publishing date, I was;t expecting a whole lot. I was pleasantly surprised to discover the book covered a lot more ground than I expected. Photos are decent and decent in number for when the book was published, but are not up to par with today. That should be expected. It would be wonderful to see an updated book on this subject - or better yet, a series, broken down by greeting cards, cabinet cards, larger frameables and art supplies, for example, plus a complete listing of all his work, if such a thing exists. I was able to fill in some important facts about my cards, as well as learn more about Prang, but there are still gaps in areas like identifying Prang's work - much if not most of which has no identifying mark.
In short, a great book for when it was written, but in need of updating.

3 of 3 found this helpful A gift for my husband's birthday - he was skeptical until he inspected and used it. He's used it for 2 days and is thrilled. Narrow enough to fit between rows of vegetables, and between a fence and hedge you can lay a cloth in the barrow and gather produce while sititng in the garden seat. Works well for holdimg propane bottles even when the size doesn't fit. Is hinting at the snow plow attachement for Christmas.
Definately get the tool clips too.

snow shovels kill - snow plows don't. Another brilliant solution from Worx
1 of 1 found this helpful I gave my husband the Worx aerocart with most of the accessories for his birthday last year. Best gift EVER - he uses it constantly, and I use the garden seat a lot myself. What a beautifully engineered and made product.
So I gave him the snow plow attachment for Christmas. I knew he'd like it, but didn't expect the emotional response I got, while he was attaching it to his aerocart. It reminded him that one of his uncles died a few years ago, while shoveling his walk. The combination of the cold and the movement that standard shoveling requires is very hard on the heart, and sadly, this is a common cause of death. This tool does not require the lifting motion that causes that. With this tool, you can easily push snow down your walk or driveway, with little exertion.
After reading other reviews, I would advise using this snow plow before your snow reaches over 6". I would think that is advisable with any manual tool though.
Love the Worx products and especially love that this one could save lives.
