easily add second hard drive to laptop
I wanted to add a second 100 GB SSD drive to my aging laptop and this device did the job, no fuss or mess. One great thing is that when I need to occasionally go back to the DVD ROM for some reason, the one screw changeout makes it really easy. Recommended.

not very strong, but maybe ok for short distances
I bought this with the intention of transferring water from the fish tank to a jug and back again to make water changes easier. Too weak for that. If you have to transfer water short distances and staying pretty much horizontally without dips/ rises, it might work for you.

ORIGINAL Cobra 148's are a great product for the money.
I take pride in owning one of the best CB's ever made, the Cobra 148 GTL classic, with the microphone jack at the SIDE of the radio. Excellent transmitter and receiver and the NB is second to none in performance (exceeding the performance of many amateur radio transceivers, in my opinion). The single sideband capability is a great benefit to have when conditions are just too poor to use AM, or for noisy areas. It is surprising how little power is needed for sideband contact. The Uniden Grant or Grant XL is basically a clone of the original Cobra 148's and is also an excellent radio. Unfortunately, the Uniden Grant and the original Cobra 148 are no longer made. I have owned the new 148 model made in China and have had lots of difficulty using it on sideband because it lacks the regulation of the original 148. I'm told this can be corrected, but I haven't tried. I simply avoid the newer Chinese 148's and stick with earlier models, again with the microphone jack at the side. If you are a Ham radio operator, it is very easy to convert the Cobra/ Uniden to the 10 meter amateur band, just be sure you have the proper license. All in all a great radio. Highly recommended.
