Excellent History of John Van Alstine's Creativity
The Introduction by Nick Capasso and the Interview by Glenn Harper give unique insight into the background and creativity of sculptor John Van Alstine. The beautiful photographs of his work, illustrate the story along a decades long timeline and bring fresh perspective to the dialogue. A great synopsis of his sculpture, works on paper, photography and his public projects. I would highly recommend this book to any art aficionado interested in sculpture. 2021 TOPPS PROJECT70 SET WHAT I LOVE ABOUT THIS SET OF CARDS, IS THAT TOPPS SELECTED 53 ARTISTS TO CREATE AND DESIGN CARDS FOR WHATEVER PLAYER THEY DESIRED. THIS IS A GROUND-BREAKING COLLABORATION BETWEEN THE TRADITIONAL BASEBALL CARD WHICH HAS BEEN AROUND FOR 150 YEARS AND THE ARTWORLD. THE THOUGHT PROCESS AND EVENTUAL CARD DESIGN HAS NEVER BEEN SEEN BEFORE. YOU COULD NOT GO WRONG IN COLLECTING ANY CARD FROM THIS SET. ALSO, AND MORE HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER ARE THE RAINBOW FOILS (ONLY 70 OF EACH CARD), THE SILVER FRAME ARTISTS PROOFS (ONLY 51 OF EACH CARD) AND THE HOLY GRAIL OF EACH CARD_THE 'GOLD FRAME' OF WHICH THERE IS ONLY ONE (1/1). I THINK I HAVE EVEN SEEN SOME ARTIST SIGNED CARDS IN A VERY LIMITED EDITION OF MAYBE 10 OR 15. THESE ARE ESPECIALLY COLLECTIBLE TOO! WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THE 2021 TOPPS PROJECT70 #748 CARD, OF SUPERSTAR SHOHEI OHTANI, IS THAT IT IS ONE OF THE SUPER RARE 'ERROR CARDS'. I BELIEVE TOPPS, NOT THE ARTIST, MISTAKENLY HAS >SHOHEI OHTANI< PLAYING FOR THE >'ANGLES'<, NOT >'ANGELS<' ON THE BACK OF THE CARD. IT IS THE ONLY ONE OF SHOHEI OHTANI'S OR PERHAPS THE WHOLE SET, THAT IS AN ERROR. THIS CARD MAY PROVE HIGHLY COLLECTIBLE AND VALUABLE IN THE FUTURE. I WOULD GRAB THEM UP JUST IN CASE.
