Old Size B&D Undercounter Toaster Oven
4 of 4 found this helpful This is the second TRO570 Black and Decker Toaster oven we have owned. We wore the first one out over ten years. In Black and Decker's infinite wisdom they decided to make their space saver Toaster Ovens wider. I did not want to drill new holes into the bottom of the cabinet that holds the heat-shield/mounting bracket, one set was plenty. That led me to eBay where many clean and lightly used older units can be found.
Ours came very clean from the seller, cleaner than our old heavily used one.
The Toaster Oven itself is great for toast, bagels, pop tarts and melting cheese. The unit can be used to bake small items. The unit has a safety feature that cuts power when you open the door.
I would recommend this toaster oven as a replacement for an existing unit. But if you are in the market for your first toaster oven, get the new size and don't worry about what to do if you need a replacement for an obsolete size.

Almost Obsolete But You Own Not Lease
The end of the product support cycle is coming up. Still it is nice to be able to own a product cradle to grave and not rent the software. (Disclaimer I am a stockholder in Microsoft and love that they make a profit, just not off of me.)

Easier Than Replacing Seal or Whole Flush Valve Assembly
The seems to be a design defect in the seal on the bottom of the flapper. The seal seems to wear out in roughly three years of use and starts to leak.
The seal is inexpensive but hard to install on the flapper. It is worth the extra cost to replace the whole flapper. Just be very careful, it is a tight fit to pop off the old flapper. You can replace the entire flush valve assembly, but it costs more to buy and also takes more time because you have to remove the tank for that replacement.
This Flapper Assembly is the easiest way to replace the leaky seal.
