Hello, I'm Mark and I live in Ohio. I like old electronics, cars, ham radio, photographic and video equipment. US Mail shipments go out of here at 2PM, special trip for anything else. I do take a good amount of care with boxing and so forth. My one neg recently was over a real old item I sold local, otherwise it would be 100%. Anyhow, that's the scoop gang. Thanks for looking.

Overall satisfied. The base is very sturdy, height is good. The clamp holds the bike well with a few exceptions. On cruiser bikes, the top bike frame tube is flanked by two smaller decorative ones which will interfere with the stand. Best way around that is to take off the light blue rubber paint protectors on the stand clap. This will make your life a hell of a lot easier. The clamps are plastic, so they don't scrape paint unless you really wanted them too.

Snappy performance! Long battery life!
This little PDA has all the features that I could think of when buying a PDA. It's small, easy to use, quick, and has a clear colorful display. The Compact Flash card slot offers a cheap way to expand the PDA's memory. You can also add a camera. HP's image viewer is very fast. By this I mean that in slide show mode, this unit will change frames the instant you press the side buttons. The flip up screen protector is very useful. I tend to slide this in my pocket, and now I don't have to be mindful of my keys scratching the screen. The sound recorder is great. It offers a variety of bit rates to record, all the way up to 44Khz PCM sound. The mic is pretty good too. Jornada's battery lasts for days in standby. If it fails, the button battery will hold what is stored in RAM (32MB for the 565) while you change or charge the unit. Powering on and off leaves you right where you left off, and the boot time is instantaneous. Handwriting recognition is very good, although training is useful for improving it's accuracy. You get a bunch of useful tools, such as Pocket Word, Excel, a very handy business calculator, email, Internet Explorer and more. On the minus, it's battery charger input is proprietary. The screen brightness is less than some. However, the screen brightness has an option for adjusting to the ambient light. This is effective, and I find that it adds hours to the battery time versus fully bright all the time. The video playback I found to be slow. This also was a pricey little unit new, although there are bargains to be found here on ebay. I expect anyone who buys one to be quite happy with it! -Mark Yannitell
