LCD has come a long way
29 of 35 found this helpful I was looking for a modest size TV to replace a Toshiba CRT widescreen I bought a year ago. The picture on the Tos was garbage, geometry errors, blooming, etc., so I gave in and ordered a new one. After a bunch of shopping around I finally settled on the LNS3251D.
The picture is very impressive. Colors are natural and geometry is dead one. Grayscale is a bit off but no worse then any other tv I have looked at without an ISF calibration. For blanks and dark greys, LCDs have always had trouble crushing them and this TV has the same problem but it does it the least of any LCD I have seen to date.
HD is fantastic. Very sharp and "3D" like. Cant image any tv doing a better job without going 1080P (which would cost at least twice as much if they even make on this small yet).
SD to me is always the deciding factor on how good an HDTV is since all TVs look "good" in HD but how well they do SD is just as important since we are still a long way off from doing way with it. This TV is by far better then I ever thought I would see on a fix-pixel display. On I set contrast/brightness to a low-enough level and turned sharpness all the way down, the picture look great with few artifacts.
PC is outstanding. When looking, I wasnt really thinking about the TVs ability to be used as a computer display but when I saw it had a D-SUB (VGA) input, I figured I would hook it up to my PC for giggles. WOW! The picture was incredible, text was really sharp. The computer instantly picked it up as a second monitor and recognized its native display resolutions. I was able to expand my desktop onto both and also set it as the primary monitor. I fired up call of duty 2 and had a blast seeing it on a 32" picture.
Overall, I have to say I am very pleased with this purchase. Right now, I think it is definitely the best 32" TVs in the market right now.

May not be for everyone
1 of 1 found this helpful This movie will appeal to you if you are big into Anime or just a general Scifi buff. I am the latter of the two. Visually, the movie is fantastic. Lots of color and fast moving scenes. Some of the style, like the fuzzy facial shots (which is meant to mimic a cartoon I guess), can a bit distracting at times but I suppose it goes with the theme. And Jovovich is definitely looking particularly good in this one.
Audio is as good as the visual. The Dolby Digital PCM sound is very dynamic and helps to keep you immersed in the experience. My 7.1 setup got a great workout from this one (even though it is listed as only a 5.1 soundtrack).
The movie itself I would say is just ok. It seems they focused more on the production of the movie then they did the content. The acting is ok but somewhat chezzy at times.
Overall, it is a good disc to have. Even if you are not into this type of movie, at the very least it is fantastic for showing off your system in both visual and audio effects.

Great for small items.
Bought this for small items in our dishwasher. When closed it locks very tightly. It is not designed for our model but it works anyway very well.
