Denzel, Shining Star
This true story was very touching about the hardships of a young Black Male's troubled life until he met a caring Navy Lawyer who did more than psycho analyze him. He took him into his family where he turned the young man around to re-claim his life & develop his career. In the film, Antwone's girl friend also helped him with his struggles Denzel Washington not only starred as the Naval officer but also directed this very well made film. Now we have another reason to like & appreciate a very talented star. Thank you, Denzel. I am very glad I purchased this high quality DVD.. Daniel Kleiman

Well, It's not "Motel 6."
1 of 1 found this helpful Hotel is a continuation of classic scary tales which this one happens to be in an old run-down hotel that
springs back to life, as it were, when new guests arrive for a good time. Unfortunately for the guests good times don't last long. The hotel clerk, & assorted co-workers, keep things lively until bad times cause some guests to "check out" early. Lady Ga-Ga brings an air of charm to the show & is quite an asset to the movie. Ga-Ga fans will find her an extreme pleasant attraction to the story line. Don't miss this one. It depends on individual taste as to what is good or not but I believe anyone who loves horror flicks will find Hotel quite entertaining.

A Great WWII Musical
When South Pacific played at the movies I was just a kid of 12 & the world was at peace once again between wars. The movie was a pleasant change from blood & guts war movies we were inundated with just a few short years before & who could forget that beautiful, haunting tune, Bali Hai? Don't get me wrong, my hero was still John Wayne & other role models like him & great female leads like Rita Hayworth still lit up the silver screen but who really knew much about any of the stars of S. P. but yet it has become a movie icon. Sure there was & is someone out there who can name them all but I'll bet there are more who have forgotten the glorious stars of the 50's than can remember them. South Pacific will remain a truly spectacular Hollywood great musical for the rest of my life &, I hope, beyond. Thanks, once again, Hollywood for a very memorable film with an unforgettable cast.
