Excellent treatment for allergy and colds.

The Neilmed sinus rinse kit is great at cleaning the sinuses and reducing allergy issues. One should boil the water for a minimum of 5 minutes and let it cool -- then keep it in the refrigerator. I pour 1.25 cups of pre-boiled water plus 2 packets in a clean measuring cup, heat in the microwave for 75 seconds, mix, and use in the bottle. (Two packets equals the high saline that my ENT recommends.) Boiling the water is very important -- highly resistant bacteria grow in the ends of the faucets, and water fresh from the tap can lead to bacteria in the sinuses -- a situation that could require surgery to treat.

Essential complement to allergy/cold medications

Thins mucus so it drains better. Lasts 12 hours. Use in conjunction with allergy medications. My ENT and allergist put me on this medication more than 25 years ago, and I take it twice a day.

Benefit 60 WP Greenhouse and Nursery Insecticide (5 x 20g packets)

Very systemic broad range insecticide with long residual

Can spray buds or partially open dahlia blooms by misting late in the day -- will kill insects for a week. On foliage, long residual -- will kill broad range of insects for weeks. Very low toxicity to humans and other mammals, but very systemic -- wear disposable gloves, long sleeves, and long pants for protection. Will kill bees as well as other insects that come to feed. Product sprayed on foliage will be systemic except on blooms. Systemic insecticides tend not to be systemic to blooms -- Benefit comes the closest of any product I have seen (kills some insects on blooms).
