Lightweight, easy to use, dependable
My husband hunts and fishes and picks berries. He bought one of these years ago, and since then his compass is just a backup. His Bushnell BackTrack is easy to use, easy to see. He can mark where he left the truck, and walk, or take the boat, right back at the end of the day.
Unfortunately, he left the batteries in over the winter and they leaked. Couldn't get it open to change the batteries. Trying to buy a new one, we saw they don't make them anymore. So very pleased to find it here on eBay!
Later we did manage to get the old one open, but damaged the seal removing the white leaked stuff. It will probably work again, haven't tried it yet.

It's working for now
Sigh. I wanted to replace my 12-year-old HP Deskjet 1010; the USB socket on the back had stopped working. But just like every HP product I've bought, there's something wrong with it. The 12-year-old printer came set up for Asia, and US ink wouldn't work. This one, the black ink cartridge doesn't go in smoothly, and it took some fussing to get the printer to use it. I'm hoping that when I need a new black cartridge, I'll be able to get it to work again. If not, I'll at least have been able to finish doing our taxes with this cartridge. I do like the Deskjet 1010.

Paper without lines
I've been using my Wellspring Flip Note for nine years now. I had a supply of extra pens and paper pads. I finally ran out of pads, and discovered Wellspring no longer sells them unlined. But besides lists, I also make sketches and diagrams. These are unlined -- work much better for me.
