Excellent Affordable Pro-laptop-Workstation for any 3D Graphic Video Photo
1 of 1 found this helpful This laptop is the best in its class, i7 CPU with 16GB RAM and 256GB SSD Hard Drive, 1GB dedicated video RAM - this baby flies compared to my old Dell Optiplex dual core. SSD HD makes it very fast on start-up and loading any Software. I ran a 3D CAD modeling software on the old PC and it was a disappointment, it's one of those moments when your creativity muffled by bad computer performance - you wait for such a silly things like regenerating 3D model, applying textures, e.t.c. - it was driving me crazy. After I got this baby - the design work I had in mind was done in one day with excellent results! - never waiting on computer to perform design tasks - they were done almost instantaneously with my commands! If I would advise to anyone an affordable system for your design/photo/video/rendering works - get this one - you will not be disappointed. I also purchased a docking station - Dell E-Port Replicator PR02X - and hooked it up to 2 monitors, keyboard and mouth and RJ45 network. This particular docking has 2-USB 3.0 and 2 USB-2.0 ports. Works excellent with this laptop, turning it in a great workstation. USB 3.0 allows for a lightning-fast large files transfer to any USB 3.0 external drive! The only problem I have now - to get my 6y. old son away from this computer in my home office - he runs his MINECRAFT worlds on it and it flies fast, smooth - never glitches - he loves the system!
