I purchased these for my 11 year old male whippet. He hates going outside to go potty when it is cold and/or raining. Often, I have to take him out with an umbrella & wait for him to go tinkle. Smarty pants, he only partially empties his bladder and then comes in the house to finish his duty on a throw rug when he thinks I'm not looking. With these belly bands, life is much easier and cleaner! Usually, he let's me know now when he needs to go out to go potty. I remove the "doggie diaper" every time he goes outside. I put an Always Discreet pad in his belly band which absorbs the accidents he does have on occasion. I wash the belly bands in the washing machine on cold and air dry them. They come out perfect every time. Note: make sure to connect the velcro on the bands before placing in the wash. This keeps them from snagging other items that may also be in the wash.
