THE NAME OF THE ROSE (DVD) is a gripping medieval mystery with great features.

First, it is one of the very few books that have been outstandingly transformed from literature to film. Secondly, it also happens to be one of Sean Connery's best acting performances (won him a Hugo among other wins). This DVD, which is not so easy to find now (produced in the eighties) can now be considered a classic. Directed by the incomparable Jean-Jacque Annaud from a book by Umberto Eco.
