Liftmaster 823LM Remote Light Switch MyQ use w/ 828LM Internet Gateway Control

Easy to install and operate

The MyQ technology allows me to access my Chamberlain garage opener, and the two lights controlled by the 823LM remote light switch. The Liftmaster remote light switch is easy to install. Took me just 10 minutes to install it. This remote switch is limited to a light circuit with only one switch (single pole switch). Programming the switch is through the iPhone. It is easy! Just need to download the MyQ app to the iPhone. With the Internet Gateway Controller, I can now turn on the lights in the garage and the outside lights (separate switch) with my iPhone before I get home. I prefer to use my iPhone as I am not limited by distance from the remote switch. I have a long driveway, so I can light up the driveway before I get close. How nice! Just open the MyQ app, then tap on the icons for the lights and for the garage door opener. I installed the 828LM to my router with a short Ethernet cable. No programming of the 828LM is needed.

Exact Fit

I have a 2008 ML350. This item is a direct replacement, and fits exactly. I have an existing plastic end cap that broke. This new assembly included that end cap, so I avoided paying over $10 just for the cap. The end cap covers the nut. I was concerned about the quality of the plastic such that it may crack during installation. It appeared to be the same kind of plastic as the OEM.
