Pockets
These are just what you expect - nice quality - just does the job plain and simple - they could be rubbish or they could do exactly what you want - these fall into the latter category without a doubt. Not much more to say other than I am completely satisfied and will buy again when these run out.

Cheap power
12v at 2.5A for less than a fiver - can't be bad. Actually less and more power is more expensive so this item must be a good seller to keep the price disproportionally low. Runs cold supplying around 0.5A, has slight delay on start up of less than 1 second. Nice and small dimensionally as well. Have not added photos because it simply looks just like the ad photo. Mine is running a LED strip and as they all look nice and bright have not measured output voltage. So yeah - good item - does the job.

Satisfyingly nice
Upon unpacking the first impression you get is this is a solidly built product, mainly because it seemed too heavy for what it is. Sits well on 5 feet. Read various reviews of the product before I made the purchase and have experienced none of the disadvantages of those who criticised. Yes its thin and flat, but makes no difference to me. Yes the space bar if you look at it from the side is very very slightly raised - a concern raised by some - but not a problem for me. Having come from a wireless KB this one is wired - but maybe I never really needed a wireless one in the first place as wired is no disadvantage me, but has the advantage of no batteries to charge or replace which is good when the design incorporates 106 leds one behind each key.
My decision for this KB was based on an ageing Logitech whose popular key tops legend had worn off over the years, but that was otherwise still working fine. This KB has no screen printed legends that could wear - except those on the facing edge of the function keys which will never actually be touched in normal use. As the legend of each key is moulded in a light transparent plastic to permit the illumination through, they can never wear off.
In use this is a very nice KB to type on, key travel is no issue, tactile feedback is no issue. In fact I seem to be able to type more accurately than on my previous Logitech, and I don't know why. By the way I am no typist - at best 4 fingers might show some coordination!
The illumination is very nice and works well. Three levels are available from very bright to very dim and of course off, and I find very dim is just perfect, enabling the legend to be seen in low light levels without obviously being illuminated.
The layout contains media keys and lots of other shortcuts that can be assigned via the available Logitech software. I cannot comment on longevity yet as I have only been using it a week, but I bought this "used" from ebay in excellent condition and if its anything like my previous Logitech KB long service is expected as standard.
Is it well designed? I like it.
Is it easy to setup? Its USB - you just plug it in and it works!
Is it good value? I think so at 38% less than Amazon.
Its just very good at what it does and is a pleasure to use in both daytime and evenings.
