Thrustmaster TH8A Gear Shifter

My new shifter, A PC player's point of view.

The TH8A shifter from Thrustmaster is my first upgrade to my sim racing setup. It is a very solid piece of kit made from metal with a plastic outer shell. Overall it feels very premium, especially compared to the plastic and leather G27 shifter I am used to. The shifter features 7 forward gears and 1 reverse, but is completely reprogrammable in all games (at least on PC). Each gear has a nice long throw but lacks resistance, even at it's strongest setting. This is probably due to the combination of a long shifter stick and weak internal resistance. All in all it is a brilliant shifter, with it's only downfall being the lack of resistance, which considering the price is far from ideal and hence why it loses one star.
