Double Wall Socket 2 Gang Flat Plate Satin Stainless Steel 13Amp Slim Twin Plug

Twin outlet is not as electrically safe as my originally fixed twin outlet

The new twin outlet within its pack appears to be good quality and nearly matches the ones that I already have fitted, other than the on/off switches are white plastic rather than the brushed stainless steel within my other wall outlets. Not really a problem but just does not match. Price is competitive. However, when the rear electrical; connections are made, these are not so easy to find when working in a confined space. The real problem however is that the design has situated the live and neutral cable fixings immediately next to each other. This could result in arcing over if any of the wires should slip out of their fixings. My original twin outlet has these connections spaced well apart.

Does not fit in shallow wall boxes

I cannot give a full recommendation for this wall switch, as in my case it would not fit. With my shallow depth wall boxes this switch is 5mm deeper than the stainless steel flat plate other ones I have throughout my house. As a result although otherwise a good product I now have a switch that I cannot use. Such a pity.
