A beautiful lens
4 of 4 found this helpful An excellent value on a beautiful, pro-lens! It hasn't come off the camera since it arrived. I keep thinking, "maybe I should go back to the zoom for this" then I reposition my head or walk a few steps forward and keep shooting. Beautiful depth of field bokeh, super fast lens. I find myself increasing the shutter speed and stopping down the lens compared to what I'm used to shooting with the kit lens. Some people prefer the 35mm for portraits on a DX body, I prefer a slightly flatter look from the 50mm. Also, this one gives just enough throw for distant action. If you only buy one camera lens, this is the one.
