Ryzen 5 CPU and fan cooler

As a first-time PC builder, I was hoping that this CPU would have been a little easier to install. After figuring out the method and watching an adequate number of videos, I managed to install the CPU into my motherboard - only to find that my motherboard was outdated and not compatible with this CPU. When it came to unscrewing the CPU cooler fan, the CPU came out of its socket with the fan at the same time! What a disaster. I don't know what the cause for this was, but clearly it is not supposed to do this as this hardware is very sensitive to damage.
Anyway, after receiving a more up-to-date motherboard, I managed to install this CPU again, only screwing in the fan the absolute minimum for it to be held firmly in place, but not to apply too much pressure to the CPU itself.
