Great guide, but look up pics online too.
Overall great field guide. I'm particularily happy (and surprised) by the inclusion of dichotomous keys to genera and species. The descriptions are precise, and information on range/ecology/etc. is useful.
The only issue I have with it is that the pictures are small and, in many cases, don't show detail necessary for visual ID. They show form and large-scale characters, but close-up leaf pictures and pictures of sori are not generally included.

I can see far things close. Top notch.
Great optics, great performance in low-light conditions. A little heavy, but that's to be expected with 42mm objectives.
