Will last a while
Mine came with slight endplay in bearing, but compared to stock which didn't show the signs of worn bearing until the belt was remover, after 131k miles, gates' one will last at least half the time, which is ok for me - by that milage entyre engine should be replaced/overhauled though.

Great product. Must have for all Mazda 3 owners with 3 pedals
I've put this item on my 2008 Mazda 3 S, 2.3L N/A.
Installation notes for regular Mazda 3-s: For MS3 its a bolt-on kit as advertised, but you can adapt the kit to N/A 2.0 and 2.3 Mazda 3 by replacing top bushings with metal washers which are 1.5 mm less in diameter (MS3 ones won't fit, they bigger by 0.5mm than shifter base holes). The lower ones, which actually have the most impact on the shifter base movement fix perfectly.
Feedback: Once you put these parts in you car you can check shifter's endplay when in neutral - it stays rock solid. With OEM tranny and engine mounts in good shape shifting is precise and smooth.
Thanks Torque Solution for the great product! Thumbs up!

Consider as must have for used car
My experiecne was smoothening idle and increasing by 50-75rpm which eliminated vibrations after installation. Easy to replace but consider using crankshaft fixing tool (bolt put into block instead of a plug) so you can ensure proper timing. Again, in my case engine (2.3 N/A) was set to 2 degree advance - bad idea, rough idle and WOT surge. This sensor experience lots of heat during car lifetime. If you want the car to run efficiently - feed ecu with accurate signals, replace all critical sensors, i.e CKPS, MAF, Upstream Alpha-Sensor
