    The Wonderful Game...
Please note that this review is for 'GAME ON with Hugh, Nick & Ray...' and not for A Cook on the Wild Side...I have also watched 'Pig in a Day with Hugh & Ray' and also 'Catch and Cook with Hugh & Nick'...which are also on the same wavelength as to presentation and step by step guide...See Below : For many years now I've been interested into where my food comes from and just how it is handled and prepared before it gets to my plate... Irrespective of whether it is vegetables or meat - its origins through to being in my kitchen matters to me... Since first viewing 'A Cook on the Wild Side' I must admit that everything 'Hugh' has become a must view or read and not that I might be in 100% able to go and do what he has been able to do in his scale...I know that small-scale my approach might be...Hugh's help without even attending one of his courses has made me think more and more about what I eat... 'Game On' is eye-opening when it comes to the different varieties of game that any of us might be able to utalise in our own eating regime... While there are many quality game butchers around...knowing what is involved may not be the spice of life for the run of the mill cooks, but for some of us it means that we can look at the steps that Hugh, Nick and Ray go about in preparing game that by one form or another you as an individual or in a group have managed to get hold of that game animal and prepare it for the pot... But this DVD doesn't just stop there...tips of preparing with various herbs prior to cooking is also shown, plus the step by step of preparing the game meat is also added to with step by step cooking hints and a recipe guide...with also the information of the website of River Cottage for addintional help and hints...Well done River Cottage...Well done Hugh and team and I look forward to viewing another helpful DVD produced by the River Cottage Team... I can recommend this DVD and hope my review is helpful to you...

River Cottage Year in One Box...
Hugh takes you through the four seasons and along with them an abundance of ideas for growing various varieties of veg for yourself, for your family or for friends. I like each of the series that came out and straight away I decided that they would be added to my collection at some time. Many people have tried to copy HFW style of presenting this type of programme, they all have their own twist, but Hugh leads the lot. Many peolple call him a Celebrity Chef and yet Hugh himself refers to himself as simply a cook. His way of life by getting away from the dog eat dog of big city life is envious...I wouldn't want to have a farm of the size he now has, but the original size of River Cottage as it started is more appealing and I still find something inspirationable from every one of these programmes. Personally I believe that the only one that has tried to emulate anything Hugh has done is the guy from Tasmania that does 'Gourmet Farmer'...Matthew Evans.

A Rose by any other name...
This is a good quality metal stencil. It is sturdy and can be used on a variety of surfaces; such as: Paper, card, wood, various types of cloth, glass, etc. The price was very reasonable as well, I therefore recommend it.
