One of the best ratchets ever made
I've had one of these for almost 20 years. It's still my favorite ratchet. It's unbelievable to see the vintage/U.S. made versions now selling for ~$70, I paid like $20 for mine!
I probably would pay $70 if it broke. Just the other day I was in a Snap-On truck, looking at their basic 3/8 ratchet. I hated it- not comfortable and no quick-release, and it cost $90!

It used to taste better
This is a great product but they changed the flavor from lemon to lime. It doesn't taste nearly as good as it used to. I'd hoped that I would receive the yellow can as shown but nope, I got the new green can.

Not impressed- smells bad and very overpriced
1 of 1 found this helpful Not impressed at all. For the price I expected much more. While it seems healthy, organic, and grass fed it is waxy, pale, and smells bad. The problem is poor cleaning of the fat before processing. They apparently leave lots of meat and blood in the fat, which creates a poor quality product.
I've never bought tallow equal to what I make at home(I clean, freeze, powderize the fat, then do a first render at 180*F for 3 hours followed by a second render at 210 for 4 - 5 hours). However, there are much better purchasing options:
The best commercial tallow is by 'Health & Beauty'. Probably grain finished but overall a much better product. Yellow, soft, and has far less odor than this one.
The best tallow you can purchase, though, is made by 'Fannie and Flo'. There is none better than theirs- and it's cheap!
