BBC Complete Box Set — Fantastic!
Wow, everything. The BBS set includes a six-part retrospective with Ian McShane, which Acorn's set is missing. Good quality considering the age of the source material. Full 4:3, the series' original aspect ratio; not cropped to simulate widescreen.
Still fun and clever after all these years. Highly recommended.

Sturdy stylus, a bit thick
1 of 1 found this helpful Good quality, good value.
Too thick for my (tablet's) Poetic case's stylus loop. Too lengthy, flops around just hooking the cap through.
The free Bamboo Paper app is for iOS (Apple App Store) or Android (Google Play), but is NOT available in Amazon's app store for Kindle or Fire tablets.
Action is smooth. It's my first modern stylus so I'm still getting accustomed to the amount of pressure needed to tap or sustain a "grip" on on-screen items. I bought a stylus for those controls in the corners that make me feel downright clumsy, and the contact on the Solo may not be fine enough for my needs. YMMV of course.

Good 4K player, but stick to Roku, FireTV, etc for streaming apps
5 of 13 found this helpful Slow adopter to 4K. No 4K TV yet, so can't compare quality -- DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K UHD look about the same (test package: Aquaman 4K + Bluray + digital). One test of the USB, mp4 vid plays beautifully.
Cons: WiFi 2.4GHz only; doesn't support 5GHz. Height (1 5/8", 4.2cm) is too tall to slide under the TV (under which the old Sony Blu-ray player and a PS2 Slim do fit). Width and depth of the unit are also larger.
Pros: Supports 4K, 3D, Blu-ray, DVD formats; multiple streaming codex too. Ethernet connection. Energy Star. USB port on front.
Apps: Hulu "classic" app already installed; VUDU app also looks "classic". Netflix & Prime Video are pretty current. Fewer apps, with CuriosityStream expiring soon. At this writing: 18 entertainment apps (12 TV/movie, 6 music), plus 3 device apps (disc, USB, Miracast screen mirroring). One app can be set to the Favorite button on the remote.
