So small and compact and super easy to use

My Coolpix 2100 was bought with my niece in mind. She's young and I didn't want to spend a bundle and her break it. I bought it used on Ebay and it's been even better than expected. I also bought a Canon A40. I love the easy handling of the coolpix and ease of use. There's not much in the way of manual settings but if you only want to "Point & Shoot" then it's great. The menu is easy enough to navigate and for general shooting, the macro, flash, and timer modes are a breeze to change. It only takes 2 AA batteries so it's not as bulky and heavy as some other cameras and seems to last long enough for me. It also takes compact flash cards which I already use with my other cameras. I think this will be the one I give my little niece to fit her little hands.

It Works

I have had the 1.3 version for a few years and no problem. It's the same with the 1.4 version. It performs as it should. It's very small and takes absolutely no brains to operate.
