Not all it's cracked up to be
4 of 4 found this helpful The concept is really cool but in reality it falls short of the mark. This is my THIRD flip phone within ONE YEAR! At ten months the screen began to separate and I was given a replacement. Six weeks later there was a small granule of sand/dirt caught at the top of the screen which upon closing ruptured the screen film and overnight literally ate the screen. Since Samsung/Verison will only replace damaged screens once I had to buy a new phone. Yes the dirt/sand was on me.
Also, in my opinion, the material used to build phone is flawed. It is soooo slippery dropping the phone is very easy to do. You MUST get a case! I tried three before finally finding one that works. Most are nothing more than decorative 'skins' to make your phone pretty.
With all of the above........the Flip 3 really does turn heads and I love the fact that it folds. However if I had known what it would wind up costing me I might have made a different choice. And yes you could purchase Verizon's insurance but at an extra $20 a month. My homeowners charges less......much less.
