3 of 8 found this helpful Really low quantity to start making kefir, however, transfer the grains in a new glass or plastic jar, I recommend plastic so it does not break etc, and top it off with milk, leave a bit of room as it expands. I recommend a bigger quantity of milk to start with, like 0.5L so the grains can have room to grow, do not disturb for 2-3 days and leave in a warm dark place. AVOID METAL. In about 2 weeks you will have enough grains to make kefir in 48h or less for 0.5L. When grains grow I recommend taking a bigger container to allow it to grow until you obtain a decent amount of grains.
