Is the Optimus H5235 Fan Forced Tower worth it?
Pros: Turns on, Heats like any other radiant heater.
Cons: Fan is loud and doesn't move air. Overall this heater has a very cheap feel.
I have used many space heaters over the years and the Optimus H5235 was a real disappointment. I bought this to replace an old Honeywell from the early 2000s. Like the Optimus it too had a forced air fan to complement the radiant heat but was whisper quiet. It's build quality was far above the Optimus but like so many other consumer product being produced today, it suffers from The Great Cheapening.
The price is okay but I think people are better off putting their money towards a radiant heater without the noisy fan. I would rather spend twice the money for a quality heater that doesn't leave me with the feeling it could fail at any moment and burn my house down.
