Nice self-contained device
It does its job nicely and comes with terminals for a battery and for clamp connection (fuse-protected for safety). The one downside is that the little connector cable to permanently mount in a car is way too short and thus does not allow routing to the radiator grille in most cases. Therefore, connect and disconnect always requires opening the hood. Since this device is generally used on car that aren't operate much that not a major problem though.
The cable attached to the charger itself is plenty long. Can easily be run from the ceiling or across the garage. Hint: Hang a loud and prominent tag on the cable where you can see it when sitting in the car. It can prevent driving off with the charger still connected.

Works great, also with Linux
If you have an older system like my Vostro 200 Mini Tower you might initially find that it does not recognize all of this new RAM in the operating system you are using. Happened to me. I updated the BIOS of that computer and then it recognized all of the RAM. Both in MX Linux and in Windows, it's a dual-boot system.
Mem Test passed with flying colors.

It stays cool and is RF-quiet
Using it for ham radio. My older linear supply becomes rather hot after a 15min CW (morse) chat. The Samlex SEC 1223 is a switcher and remains cool through 30min at full power where my transceiver draws 20A during "key down". Then the fan comes on so I can go on without it overheating. The fan noise is in my opinion very tolerable, just a strong air rushing but no buzzing sound. It would be nice if it came on gradually but no big deal.
Most impressive: It is a single-layer board built around the really old TL494 chip. Yet ... no RF noise that I could find! Hat's off to the designer.
