Falsely Advertised as 'manual' - failed instantly
Is NOT Manual !!!!! Directions clearly state the charger will NOT send current down the cables to the clamps UNLESS it 'detects' a Battery. Since my batteries were dead, it detects Nothing and therefore Will NOT CHARGE ANYTHING! Terrible cheap product being "incorrectly marketed" as a Manual charger.

It works but is just OK
1 of 1 found this helpful It works but isn't the best length (as in a several inches too long for our 1999 XR 200). What we found is that the cable must rest in its most natural curvature while routing up the forks and over to the front brake lever. Unfortunately, this means (due to its slight excessive length), had to be zip-tied as it actually routes from brake hub arm --> up the forks --> around near the CLUTCH handle and then back the BRAKE Lever. We found that if we try to pull it any closer or tighter, at least to get the approximate 8" loop from flopping under the clutch lever (the part of the cable that's too long), then the cable no longer moves in the Sleeve very well.
Otherwise, very happy to find a semi-affordable replacement. Due to its length and lack of movement if slightly bound-up, I would expect the price maybe could be lower and/or the quality could be a bit higher.
* Disclaimer: I am NOT a mechanic! Just an average Joe trying to do his own repairs to save some unnecessary wasted bucks. I recall a day when Tools and Parts were always more readily available back when many folks used to do their own service. But now-a-days, this is increasingly becoming more difficult. meh

Better than expected. Not perfect but still very nice!
Simply put - it works.
Pros:
Big sound from a small device.
Very lightweight and easy to port around.
Easy to tune, simple to operate.
Has been working very well.
Reliable so far.
Carry strap can be useful and we like that feature.
Really has been easy on our batteries so far (1+ week of use off and on) but our comparison is from similar devices. This one is doing better than the others. Its tough to measure battery consumption itself as may too many variables from volume of play, continuous use vs what random use may actually mean and a million factors in between.
Of all the wonderful things we could say about these small radios, there are only two things slightly less than positive.
Cons:
- The receiver/tuner is very sensitive to outside influence.. While it seems to pick up stations very well, the very placement of the radio, who is holding it, where it is setting, who is walking by, and many other radio-wave like considerations can and do impact the quality of the signal. While this is nothing we care about, it is at least worth the mention.
- Has been dropped a few times (on carpet and ground/dirt) but still works fine. While we have been lucky, it is NOT built like a tank and is not weather resistant.
Both a Pro and a Con:
- Tuning is not digital but that is one less thing to wear out.
- Tuning is by gear or cord (did not disassemble to clarify) but is not as precise as a properly tuned digital tuner. But probably more reliable in the long run.
- Super light weight but probably one could assume is opposite of heavy duty.
Bottom line, we love these small radios. They work well. Wasn't meant for industrial use but is not why we purchased. Excellent idea for portable use for camping, traveling, emergency or keeping the kids from fighting over single and more expensive model (since we bought more than one).
