Family favorite
Our son loved this book growing up. He had it memorised before he was two. Now they are having a baby so I will pass it on.
In the meantime, our daughter had a son and I began reading this to him. Everytime I see him he says, "Nicky!". He's 18 months old, so I bought him his own copy. I don't know how he knew to shorten Nicholas to Nicky, but I'm delighted to read it over and over. Now he almost had it memorised too.
This is durable enough for at least two generations.
It also teaches about the four seasons .
