Bought open box. No issues. Great monitor.
This LG 38WR85QC-W 38 inch was bought as open box so basically brand new. Was worried after I bought it though because I forgot to check the return policy and saw no returns, but decided to roll with it. Monitor has no dead pixels or missing accessories or issues and I saved around $200 buying this open box off of ebay vs brand new from LG. You never know with certain sellers but I have had no issues here. Monitor is great. I think it's one of the best out there for both gaming and work. My opinion is you don't need anything bigger than this. I'm coming from a 42in LG C2 oled tv as a monitor and I can say it is a bit overwhelming at times. Also, the LG C2 experienced burn in and it also didn't get bright enough to combat reflections with a glossy display using it for long working hours so wanted to stick with ips which this LG 38WR85QC-W does get bright enough for my environment. Picked ips over VA to avoid potential screen smearing and have clearer text. LG 38WR85QC-W is the perfect resolution as well. 4K can be too taxing to drive at times and as with my LG C2 is underutilized since I have to zoom the screen it anyways. I have this monitor set up so I can seamlessly switch from my main gaming pc to my Mac book which is pretty dope.
